Glad things are working again for you. Regarding your suggestion, that certainly is a good point. Perhaps with the little bit of holiday time I have left I will work on pushing out v2.0 with that in mind. I might have to give AWeber another call though to make sure pushing large numbers of contacts won’t get you blacklisted in their system. Alternatively, I may investigate whether they have bulk import or not and see if I can’t generate an export file instead.

On a related note, is there a way for existing users details to be passed to aweber so the aweber confirmation email can be sent? I have a wordpress website with 16,000 users and would like to get them to subscribe via aweber. Not really sure how to get their details over to aweber easily. Any thoughts?

Version 1.2.8 released tonight addresses the concerns with the Display Opt-In feature and should resolve any issues previously seen. Additionally, after considering your suggestion, I agree that the Display Opt-In should be checked by default and have made the necessary changes.

I’ve got the plugin working now, thanks heaps! Though i can’t get it to work when I have the field “Display Opt-in” unchecked. Works fine when checked, though if possible it’d be great if default was ticked on.

Yes, it appears that AWeber has changed their code a bit to fit in with their new form generator utility. In light of this, I am going to have to update the plugin to account for this and will post a new release within the next hour. Once released you will see the automatic upgrade feature available in your WordPress Plugins list.

Sidenote: After investigation, this does not appear to have any affect on the functionality of the plugin but is a technical change in the raw HTML form code which makes it a little confusing to find the variables needed on the plugin’s administration page.

I can see name=”listname” – is that the same thing? Has the aweber code changed?
